The PETRA III Swedish beamline is hiring

The PETRA III Swedish Material Science Beamline is operated Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY).

DESY have announced a new position as Industry Liason Scientist at the Swedish beamline's P21.2 branch, which will involve supporting industry users as well as development of data analysis protocols.

The background is that industry pays for accessing PETRA III beamlines. At beamlines, industry users generally need more support to obtain measurements and undertake the preliminary data analysis. CeXS and DESY therefore agreed that an appropriate use of income from industry use of the PETRA III Swedish beamline would be to fund a new staff position at the beamline. Hence this vacancy, and its corresponding roles and responsibilities.
