Results of Vinnova's capacity building

With the aim of developing Sweden's capacity in using large scale synchrotron facilities such as Petra III, Vinnova have previously awarded funding to research consortium.

This funding enabled industrial pilot projects at the Swedish Beam Line (P21), Petra III, Desy. These projects assessed hydrogen embrittlement of steels, fatique cracks in cast iron, stress at the edges of cut ultra high strength steels, and, braze cladding for heat exchangers.
