Restrictions ease for Swedish researchers

Published Jun 17, 2021

Sweden has been reclassified from a “high incidence area” to a "basic risk area" by the German authorities. This means that a quarintine period is no longer required prior to beamtimes. However, you are still required (on 17 June) to have a negative PCR test before being granted beam line access at PETRA III.

Nonetheless, the situation is dynamically developing and so researchers with beam times are adviced to continually check i) the German authority's latest risk assessment information, which can be found in English on this German authority website  and ii) DESY's precautions, which can be found on this DESY website .
