Looking over the PETRA III ring to the Swedish beamline

Researchers affiliated with Swedish universities, research institutes and companies have privileged access to the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline, and all other DESY-operated beamlines at PETRA III, thanks to a cooperation agreement between DESY and the Swedish Research Council (VR).  

This cooperation agreement is due for renewal in 2026. Since both DESY and VR work in a dynamically changing world, it makes sense for both organisations to keep in touch about their emerging needs. VR's Maja Hellsing therefore visited DESY's new Director of Photon Science, Britta Redlich, on 7 May.
