Stress-strain measurements and data analysis

An in person event!

Gain an overview of the history, current state-of-the-art and future directions for stress-strain measurements using synchrotrons as well as hands-on experience of data analysis using actual synchrotron datasets.

Time: Tue 2021-10-19 - Wed 2021-10-20

Location: Tekniska museet, Museivägen 7, 115 27 Stockholm

Obtaining stress-strain information is a common aim of material science experiments - also when using synchrotron instruments. Analysing synchrotron data sets is however often a challenge for researchers who are new to synchrotron experiments and a bottleneck for experienced synchrotron researchers.

By joining this workshop in person, through lectures, discussions and hands-on exercises, people can gain:

  • An overview of current state-of-the-art in synchrotron stress-strain measurements and data analysis, which would be useful to both new and experienced synchrotron users (Day 1)
  • A realistic feel for the data analysis process, using actual synchrotron data sets, for researchers who are new to synchrotron experiments (Day 2).

Venue

How to get there

The programme has been organised so that people can make their own arrangements to travel on the day by train from Malmö, Lund, Göteborg, Linköping and the greater Stockholm region. Exit Stockholm Central Station via the Klarabergsviadukt and take bus 69 to Museiparken. Buses depart every 10 minutes and the journey time is 20 minutes.
