Time for beamtime proposals
2 Sept is the deadline for beamtime proposals if you want to use the Swedish Materials Science beamline and many other beamlines at PETRA III. If you want to use the P08, P11, P22- P24 Beamlines then you can submit a proposal at any time.

Researchers are familiar with meeting deadlines for submitting beamtime proposals.
2 September is the deadline for proposals to the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline (P21.1 and P21.2 branches) as well as P01-P07, P09, P10, P61-P62 and P64-P66 beamlines. Submit via the DOOR portal.
However, you don't need to worry about deadlines if you plan to use the P08, P11, P22- P24 beamlines in the foreseeable future. This is because DESY is trialling a new rolling submission procedure, which you can read about on this DESY website . Again you submit proposals via the DOOR portal.
If you are a project leader working at a Swedish university, research institute or company then your proposal is eligible for privileged access. Remember to tick the box ‘Sweden’s Privileged Access’.
